A shocking incident has come to light from Adilabad district of Telangana amid heavy monsoon rains, where the negligence of an auto driver has put the lives of eight passengers at risk. An auto was washed away in an attempt to cross the Satwajiguda river flowing over the district’s Indrawalli division. However, it was a matter of honor that a major accident was averted due to the vigilance and bravery of the local people and all the passengers were saved safely.
The incident occurred when the water level of the Satvajiguda river had increased considerably due to the continuous rains and the water was flowing from the culvert. According to eyewitnesses, the auto driver tried to cross the river with negligence, ignoring the strong currents and dangers of water. As soon as the auto reached the middle stream, his balance deteriorated due to the fierce velocity of water and he started flowing uncontrollably. The passengers in the auto caused a shout, which filled the surrounding environment in panic.
Local people ran for help after hearing the cheat of passengers
Hearing the sound of the passengers, the locals present nearby immediately ran for help and regardless of their lives, they unitedly started rescue work and after hard work, all the eight passengers trapped in the auto were taken out of the safe river one by one. If the locals did not come forward to help on time, then this incident could have turned into a large tragedy.
Administrative officials appreciated the courage of the people
Police and other administrative officials immediately reached the spot as soon as the incident was reported. Seeing the seriousness of the situation, he immediately stopped traffic on that road and closed it so that no other vehicle would try to go on that path. The officials questioned the people present on the spot and appreciated the villagers who helped in rescue work.

The administration has issued a strict warning after this incident. He has appealed to the people not to take risks at all in such weather. Efforts to cross any flowing river, drain or submerged road can be fatal. The administration has instructed people to stay in safe places and inform them immediately in any emergency.
