Lucknow Metro, Semi Conductor Project and Hydroelectric Project … Important decisions taken in Modi cabinet meeting

Many important decisions were taken in the Union Cabinet meeting led by PM Modi. The cabinet has approved the installation of 4 new semiconductor projects in Orissa, Punjab, and Andhra Pradesh. A total of Rs 4594 crore will be spent for this. Phase 1B of Lucknow Metro has been approved, for which approval of Rs 5801 crore has been given. Tato -II Hydroelectric Project 700 MW has been approved, for which Rs 8146 crore will be spent.

Four new semiconductor projects and Lucknow Metro approved

Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said, “Four new semiconductor projects have been approved. Such 6 such projects have already been approved and four new projects have been added to it today. These are in Odisha, Andhra Pradesh and Punjab, which will invest Rs 4,594 crore.” He said that Lucknow is a big city. There is a great need for metro here, so Phase 1B of Lucknow Metro has been approved for investment of Rs 5,801 crore.

8,146 crore will be spent on hydroelectric project

Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said, “India is committed to clean development and clean energy. In this regard, 700 MW Tato II Hydroelectric Project was approved today with an investment of Rs 8,146 crore.”

India will play an important role in semiconductor construction

According to the central government, India may soon play an important role in the Global Semiconductor Market. The central government said on Sunday (10 August 2025) that in 2023, India’s semiconductor market was about $ 38 billion. It can increase from 2024-25 to 45 to 50 billion dollars.

The central government said that India is growing rapidly in the region with the increase in global partnership, policy support and domestic manufacturing. India’s chip ecosystem is developing rapidly. According to the government, big investment has been announced in many parts of the country.
